GMO-Labelling Campaign in Montana

If you are truly concerned about the invasion of GMOs in our food supply, please consider becoming active. A good place to start is the Tipping Point Network (TPN).  A conference call for interested Montanans is being organized for Tuesday January 8. When I have more information, I will post it as an event notice.

Bigfork Senior Center Gets a Makeover

Exciting changes are in store at our community’s senior center, beginning with a new director and exciting plans for a makeover. Since none of the proposed changes can happen without the help of our community, and since part of our ESP mission is to build a strong community, I propose that we step up to the plate. We can:

  • make suggestions to enhance what the center offers;
  • volunteer our time;
  • make donations or suggest potential donors;
  • join other seniors for lunch at the center; and
  • attend other activities offered by the center.

Remember that wonderfully fun event during Tamarack! Time last October, where ESP had a cider press on the deck of LaProvence to press your apples? We do plan to do this again at Tamarack! Time 2010; using a wonderful new press made by Jeffrey Funk.

Jeffrey has been perfecting the design for some time, and has now pressed all the apples he saved in his root cellar.
