The following is from C. Wyman in CFalls. He contributed photos of cobb projects for ESP’s Repurposing video, and also an article for our website, Preparing for Disaster or Prolonged Power Outage.
After his original information about the store (see below), he learned that the building that houses the store just got a huge increase in rent which they cannot afford. They will be holding a ‘bag sale’ need to reduce their inventory. All you can cram into a bag, for $4 through August 15, 2016.
They are looking for a new location to own to prevent this from happening again. Read on for the original posting, to learn more about the association and their store.
Columbia Falls Library Association’s Used Book Store
“Columbia Falls Library Association (CFLA) is a voluntary organization formed years before the local library became a branch of Flathead County Library system. They do their own thing including helping out the Columbia Falls library when they can.
The CFLA’s used book store at 39 6th St W, Columbia Falls, MT, 59912, is open every Fri and Sat; all proceeds (less rent) go to fund scholarships, etc.. In addition to books, they also have DVDs, CDs and VHS, even cassette books on tape. First book is free to any child.
CFLA has been doing as much as they can for Montana book lovers, including donating thousands of great used books to other willing libraries state wide including the new community library in Whitefish. They also give books, puzzles, and games to schools, teachers, food banks, senior living homes etc..
For more information, contact my sister, Carmen at her home phone 892-5264 or drop in at the store 10 am to 4 pm Friday and Saturday.”
