The Bigfork Senior Center, at 639 Commerce St., across from the Bigfork Elementary School, is being revamped and reinvigorated as the Bigfork Community Center, with several interesting events planned for December (see below). Note that parking on the Center property is limited, but you can park on the street as long as you don’t block access to the school parking lots and busses.
Future Plans for the Center
From the December newsletter:
- All are encouraged to suggest ideas for events or ongoing activities that may be of interest. Call Rocky, Center Coordinator, at 837-4157 with your suggestions.
- Another line-dancing class is being planned for the new year.
- There has been some interest expressed for a senior exercise program and interest in art lessons. If there is sufficient interest, instructors for these activities can be found,
- Field trips are also planned utilizing a bus.
- In January, the board of directors will be meeting with county representatives to discuss the scope and plans for the upgrade construction of the Center and the timing of the actual work.
