2012 Learning Opportunities at Purple Frog Gardens, Whitefish

Purple Frog Gardens offers learning & experience opportunities at their farm outside Whitefish:

Volunteer Day is on Wednesdays from 9 AM to Noon. Work and learn, and take home a good armload of fresh produce.

Alternative Spring Break (ASB), with separate schedules for college students from three different colleges/universities:

  • MSU schedule: March 10 – 14
  • UM schedule: March 31 – April 4
  • Northland College schedule: April 21 – 29

Cost is $30 plus the contribution of one meal made to feed 20 participants. On-site housing provided.

Kathie Lapcevic, who has presented at ESP gatherings in the past (Sugar-Tapping, Sourdough Panel), will be offering classes through the Apple Barrel this year. The first is on Preserving Citrus (see Preserving Citrus Flyer by Kathie Lapcevic, a printable pdf file).
