About the teacher: Cronenwett has studied primitive living and wilderness skills as a student and staffer at Boulder Outdoor Survival School in Boulder, Utah, and with master woodsman Mors Lochanski in Alberta, Canada. He has also led seiminars in outdoor survival for the University of Montana, the Montana Discovery Foundation, and other organizations throughout the region. He is a seasonal nautralist at the Pine Butte Guest Ranch in Choteau, where he lives when not traveling with his work in wilderness survival.
About the presentation: It will include survival psychology and strategiges, the thermodynamics of heat loss, dressing for cold, fire building, tools, shelters, knife sharpening, signal fires and more.
The entire class will be outdoors at a location to be announced. The fee is $50 per person. A handout for the class will be available from Swan Ecosystem Center upon sighn-up. Registration deadline is January 31.
