NOTE: There was no Open Stage in November or December 2011 because of the proximity of the holidays. The location for Open Stage will change for January – February 2012; see “Where” below.

What: Clementine’s Open Stage: Have a great meal, be entertained by local musicians and writers, and get to know members of our community all at the same time!

Where:

  • January – February: Will not be at Clementine’s because we’d have to pay a rental fee while Stephanie is taking a break. We are considering a different venue: Blondies, 7935 Hwy 35, #105, Bigfork; In Branding Iron building just south of NAPA and across the highway from the VFW). NOTE: the location has not yet been confirmed; will update this posting as soon as we know for sure.
  • March – October: Clementine’s, 265 Bridge St., Bigfork (South of the Old Steel Bridge & Power House). This is the same location where ESP holds most of our gatherings.

When: The last Saturday of every month (except November & December when may move to a different Saturday because of the holidays). Entertainment starts at 7 PM; Clementine’s doors open at 6:30 PM.

What’s to eat/drink:

  • Clementine’s: March – October only: Vegetarian dinner and/or desser,  beer, wine, coffee, and tea are all available for purchase; Call Stephanie in advance to reserve a dinner.
  • Blondies: Panini, cheese plates, full bar, coffee & tea are available for purchase. No reservation required.

Who: Open to the public. Anyone is welcome to perform; to get on the performance list for an evening, see “Contact” below. Dinner reservations are required at Clementine’s but

Catherine at Open Stage

This is always a fun event; members of our community, and sometimes someone just passing through, play music or do a reading to hone their skills and entertain the audience.

At Clementine’s you can enjoy a delicious vegetarian dinner and/or dessert made by Stephanie while you support the performers with your quiet attention. (Note: winter months at Blondies, you order from their lunch menu, or cheese plates).

Many of the performers are professional, including well-known poets and musicians who choose to live in the Flathead, but you don’t have to be a professional to perform at Open Stage.

I am one of the reader/writers, reading chapters from my memoirs. Poetry, screen plays, journals and other writings can also be heard at Open Stage.

Joe Zambrano is usually the MC , accompanying his folksy-bluegrass on guitar, mandolin and harmonica. Folk, bluegrass, blues, jazz, Broadway, and classical can all be heard at Open Stage.

See ‘Contact’ above, to get on the performance list for an evening. Reservations for dinner are required at Clementine’s (March – October), but not at Blondies (November – February).
